Daisy’s Field (words & Music by Anthony Longo)

When the cock crows in the mornin’ at the crack of dawn
I roll of the bed and then I hop right on
My tractor’s up and runnin’ and it’s idlin’ high
I’m goin’ down to daisy’s for my daily ride

I can’t wait   to plow   Daisy’s field
I can’t wait   to plow   Daisy’s field

When I wake up in the mornin’ and my head’s on fire
I turn a shade of purple from my burnin’ desire
Now listen to me Bubba, I tell you no lie
I just can’t get enough of Daisy’s country pie

I can’t wait   to plow   Daisy’s field
I can’t wait   to plow   Daisy’s field

Her field slopes gently upward to the hills in the north
The rockin’ of my tractor makes em’ sway back and forth
I start to get a waterin’ in my mouth
When I go down to the fertile ground in the south

I can’t wait   to plow   Daisy’s field
I can’t wait   to plow   Daisy’s field

Now my tractor’s really hummin’ and it’s up in high gear
My work is almost finished and the end’s commin’ near
I love to plow her field, that is true indeed
But it’s just in preparation to sow my seed!

I can’t wait   to plow   Daisy’s field
I can’t wait   to plow   Daisy’s field
