Picked up the paper

And on the front page

A scene that stayed in my mind

A little boy in Haiti

Trapped for 7 days

It's a miracle he survived

When he was rescued

And after all that time

They snapped the picture that's in my mind

He thought: Yes!

It's time

I was waiting, patiently

He thought: Now!

Now that you're here

I can let go and believe

And with his arms

Stretched to the sky

And a big grin from ear to ear

5.

He was pulled

From the rubble

By his Mom amid the cheers

And it just shows

The human spirit

That's in us all, against the fear

Against our fears
