Freedom

Words and music: Chris Birkett

When morning comes around again I'll try

as others do to keep up on my toes

but as, the shadows slowly grow I find my mind is closing

against the world

Holding on to what you should believe

you will fight your way down every street

You will not believe in what you see

When you look into the eyes of one who's free

Freedom like the birds that fill the sky

Freedom from the tears that filled my eyes

I'll blow away the clouds that cover me

Then you'll see the eyes of one who's free

The wall of darkeness I have built around

shuts out the light keeps out the cares of friends

Why do I toss and turn around in sleep one day I'll be

Forever free

Holding on to what you should believe

you will fight your way down every street

You will not believe in what you see

When you look into the eyes of one who's free

Freedom like the birds that fill the sky

Freedom from the tears that filled my eyes

I'll blow away the clouds that cover me

Then you'll see the eyes of one who's free

Then you'll see the eyes of one who's free

Then you'll see the eyes of one who's free

The eyes of one who's free
